In a Farmers Guardian report she says: “It is a real wrench to leave the NFU but this will give me the opportunity to spend more time with my young son and do other exciting things that I have not had the chance to do over the past 15 years.”

The NFU’s acting director general, Martin Harworth, commended Liz for her hard work and commitment during her time with the organisation.
