the trust
With assets of more than £73,000 at its disposal, the Guild of Agricultural Journalists Charitable Trust is now in a stronger position than ever before to help any Guild member who may have fallen on hard times.
As former Trust chairman Arthur Anderson explains: "None of us know what’s round the next corner. Illness, accident or redundancy can turn lives upside down and the Trust is there to offer help should any Guild member be facing a major crisis in his or her life."
If you are in the midst of a personal crisis, please contact the Trust secretary or one of the Trustees listed below – and remember, all cases are strictly confidential.
"We never publicly reveal the identity of any individual we help so anyone coming to us can be assured of complete confidentiality," says Arthur Anderson. "I can also assure anyone needing assistance that any request does not lie gathering dust! All calls for aid are dealt with immediately and we can offer financial help within 24 hours if necessary."
Currently the Trustees are: Stephen Howe (Chairman), Diane Montague (Treasurer), Grieve Carson, Max Reader, and Wendy Ryder, Denis Chamberlain and Tony Colllier. .
If you would like the Trust to help you, or if you need further information, please contact one of the Trustees or the Trust Secretary:
