74th Annual Meeting

Members and Friends of the Guild are reminded of the recent invitation to attend the Guild's 74th annual meeting at Rothamsted Research, Harpenden, Hertfordshire.
The Guild's annual general meeting is an opportunity to hear about future events, initiatives and a chance to make the most of Guild membership.
Guild deputy chairman Catherine Linch says: "We look forward to seeing you there."
The programme includes a tour and presentation on the work of the World's longest-running agricultural research station.
Tea and coffee will be served from 11.45am; the AGM starts at 12.15pm.
This is free to Members and Friends (including refreshments and lunch) and includes an exclusive 'new innovations at Rothamsted' presentation with visits to some of the unique assets held at the station.
The 74th annual general meeting of the British Guild of Agricultural Journalists will be held on Thursday, 4 May at Rothamsted Research, Harpenden, Herts AL5 2JQ (click here for directions).
The meeting will receive reports from the directors on the Guild's activities, events, awards, international connections, overseas travel/study opportunities, and finances. The directors will also outline plans for the rest of the year.
Member elections will be held for the Chairman (Ben Briggs has agreed to stand for a second term) and up to three Directors. Nominations for the director vacancies have been received for Mike Abram (Bayer CropScience), Al Brooks (Faccombe Estate) and Liz Snaith (Liz Snaith Consultants).
Members will also elect the President (Lord Curry of Kirkharle has agreed to stand for a third year) and Honorary Chaplain (Geoff Dodgson has agreed to take on this role).
Any Member unable to attend can appoint a proxy to vote on their behalf; a proxy must be registered with the secretary but no more than 48hrs before the meeting. Friends, Retired and Student Members of the Guild do not have a vote.
