Cereals Event 2016

This year's Cereals Event takes place on 15-16 June at Chrishall Grange, near Duxford, Cambridgeshire. Press registration is now open (see below) and this eAlert contains useful information for Guild Members and Friends attending the event.

Bangers 'n' Beer

Members and Friends of the British Guild of Agricultural Journalists are invited to the popular Bangers ‘n’ Beer reception at Cereals.

Please note, the Bangers 'n' Beer event is primarily for BGAJ Members and Friends.

Non-members are welcome and will be asked to provide a donation of £5 per head for the Guild’s Charitable Trust, and will be encouraged to join the Guild as Members.

This year's event – generously sponsored by Bayer CropScience UK – starts at 5.30pm on Wednesday (15 June) in the Media Centre, kindly made available by Haymarket Exhibitions.

Thanks to our generous sponsors, you will be able to enjoy quality sausages and snacks, provided by Bayer CropScience; soft drinks and good beer brewed from Limagrain's British-grown barley and beans; with strawberries and cream generously supplied by Gleadell to finish, while catching up with friends and colleagues.

It will be quicker and easier to leave the car parks once we're done!

Award Presentations

The Bangers ‘n’ Beer reception will include three award presentations:

The Stuart Seaton Regional Newspaper and Journalist Award.

BGAJ / IAgrE Journalism Award for Engineering in Land-Based Industries, sponsored by the Institution of Agricultural Engineers

BGAJ / DuPont Agriculture Arable Photography Award.

All help setting up/clearing will be greatly appreciated – for details, please contact Jamie Day at jamie.day@agritradenews.co.uk.

Press registration

Media accreditation and press registration is now open. This year, accredited journalists will be able to gain entry into the Event from 7am.

Members of the agricultural press and freelance journalists working for relevant agricultural media outlets can apply for a free Press Pass to Cereals.

Also for the first time this year, PR agencies can apply for one media pass per agency, as long as they are BGAJ Members.

Any additional passes must be purchased online.

Press Passes are provided at the discretion of the organiser and applications will be checked for validity before approval.

WiFi will be available in the press room as usual.
