FierAgricola, Verona, Italy

Guild Members have another opportunity to benefit from our involvement with the European Network of Agricultural Journalists.

Places are being offered to TWO British Guild Members on a trip to FierAgricola 2016 in Verona, Italy. The exhibition takes place between 3 and 6 February.

Successful applicants will join more than 400 journalists who usually visit the biennial event, which boasts nearly 1000 exhibitors.

This year’s show will cover a number of topical arable and livestock issues.

A special demonstration area will feature drones and their role in precision farming, with two conferences providing insight into their use and potential, including a project to monitor and control the European Corn Borer pest.

In the livestock area, DeLaval’s new rotary parlour, deploying robotic arms for disinfection and milking, will make its exhibition debut. The event is also home to the European Holstein Show.

Further conferences and workshops will cover farm profitability, sustainability, animal welfare and productivity.

Accommodation will be provided. It is highly likely that participants will have their flights between the UK and Italy provided too.

If you are interested in attending, please email you name and full contact details to: adrian.bell@whisper.pr as soon as possible and certainly by midday Thursday (14 January).

It would be helpful if you could include details of the media you work for and any likely coverage that may result from your attendance on the trip.
