The long-running animal health and welfare journalism award sponsored by the National Office of Animal Health, acknowledges excellence in the coverage of critical aspects of livestock management, with special regard to health and welfare.
Last year's winner, freelance Claire Powell, gave valuable information on Johne's disease through an on-farm case study published in Farm North-East, while runner-up Aly Balsom of Farmers Weekly entered a timely look at how ultra large-scale dairy farms are faring in the United States.

The award is open to news and feature articles submitted by fully paid-up members of the Guild. It offers a generous £750 for the winner and £250 for the runner-up.
In addition, the winners will be guests of NOAH at the organisation's annual dinner on April 19 next year where they will receive their prizes in front of leading lights in the animal health industry.
Entry requirements are fully detailed on the entry form, which can be downloaded in Word .doc format, which can be filled in then Saved As a PDF document for emailing, or as a 'fill in and print' PDF document.
The National Office of Animal Health represents the UK animal medicines industry. Its aim is to promote the benefits of safe, effective, quality medicines for the health and welfare of all animals.
