International Federation of Agricultural Journalists (IFAJ) is a non-political, professional association for agricultural journalists in 29 countries – including Great Britain. It supports and encourages the practice of agricultural journalism in countries embracing freedom of the press.
One of IFAJ's mandates is improved contact between agricultural journalists. To that end, the federation publishes IFAJ News, stages an annual congress organised and hosted by a member country association and maintains a list of journalist contacts who may be able to help with stories.
The IFAJ also runs writing and photography competitions – for more details see the Awards section of the Guild website or visit the IFAJ's own website.
In addition, the IFAJ publishes a quarterly newsletter carrying news and information from agricultural journalists around the world. See the latest edition here where you can also sign-up to receive each issue direct by email.
The Guild of Agricultural Journalists is currently represented at IFAJ management meetings by Joe Watson.
