The livestock team on Farmers Guardian has been strengthened with two significant appointments for Guild members.
Katie Lomas (top right), who joined the agricultural broadsheet in 2006 and has been livestock sales editor, has been promoted to livestock editor. She takes over from fellow Guild member Joanne Pugh who joined the National Beef Association in August (see News on the Guild website).
Katie will oversee Farmers Guardian’s weekly livestock section and technical features published throughout the year.
The second appointment is for Angela Calvert, who has written features, show reports and equestrian articles for Farmers Guardian for a number of years; she becomes senior sales and livestock reporter.
Angela will edit the paper’s pedigree and commercial sales coverage, manage event previews and continue to edit the equestrian section.
