The Guild’s Farming Media Centre directory of publications, newspapers, websites and broadcasts covering farming and rural enterprise in Britain has grown with the addition of three titles.

The Indie Farmer online magazine published by Nigel Akehurst, a Friend of the Guild, is devoted to sustainable farming, food and culture. It celebrates small-scale producers and growers while highlighting ethical, political and environmental issues related to modern farming and food production.

Nigel also contributes to Farmerama Radio as one of three producers of a new podcast series published on Acast, covering stories in podcasts from the smaller scale farming movement in the UK and beyond.

More farming output on the airwaves comes in the form of the twice-daily news programme Farming broadcast by Bauer radio station MFR across the north of Scotland. Inverness-based farmer and journalist Richard Jones records and presents the programmes, which cover current affairs related to agriculture and the countryside.

The Farming Media Centre is a unique resource highlighting the scale and diversity of published and broadcast material produced by people engaged in agricultural journalism.

Editors and other contacts identified as Members of the Guild can be contacted by searching their name in the online membership directory that forms a separate section of the Farming Media Centre.

Members and Friends of the Guild can amend their online profiles at any time by logging into the website; first-time login instructions are detailed here.
