Guild member Andy Newbold, whose Fusion Events company runs a number of technical exhibitions attended by farmers, has been elected President of IAgrE – the agricultural engineers’ organisation.

He has been a member of the organisation since the mid-1990s and as a Chartered Engineer runs an engineering risk management consultancy, as well as a publishing arm that produces Pro Operator, the specialist technical magazine for all NRoSO registered sprayer operators, and several similar titles.

“It is a great honour to be President of IAgrE,” says Andy. “Agricultural engineers are unsung heroes who provide the tools for farmers to feed the world, help tackle climate change and manage land.”

Further information about IAgrE activities, including conferences and seminars, is available on the organisation’s website and from Guild member Marion King, the IAgrE communications officer.
