Former IFAJ treasurer awarded MBE in Queen’s Birthday honours

James Campbell, former treasurer of the International Federation of Agricultural Journalists, has been awarded an MBE.

James was reccognised for his services to agriculture in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list.

James served as IFAJ treasurer from 2008 to 2015, and was a dedicated member of the Presidium throughout his term.

He was the Northern Editor of the Irish Farmers Journal from 1984 until 2013. James retired from the journal in September last year.

James has also been chair of the Northern Ireland Agriculture Research and Development Council (Agrisearch) and currently holds the position of senior chairman of its board.
