Guild members Jonathan Long and Chrissie Lawrence of mooandbaa.com, together with fellow member, leading livestock photographer Catherine MacGregor of MacGregor Photography, have launched a new livestock show and sales news website.

The new website Farming Eye has been launched in response to  demand from the livestock industry for an up to date, accurate and informative source of sales news.

Speaking about the new website Jonathan Long said it had been borne out of discussions with a number of both firms’ clients and a wide range of contacts within the livestock sector.

“The site has been in development for several months and our aim is to deliver timely, topical show and sales news with relevant and informative commentary,” he says.  “As well as offering a news service, Farming Eye also carries both display and classified advertising positions, enabling commercial companies and farmers to advertise to a dedicated audience.”

Farming Eye will carry news from home and abroad to help UK farmers keep up to speed with the latest prime, breeding and store sales news alongside leading show coverage in both the pedigree and commercial sectors.

Drawing on the knowledge and insight of its founders, the new site is quickly establishing itself

as a ‘must view’ website for pedigree and commercial livestock farmers.

“We’ve had outstanding traffic figures, with more than 25,000 page views from more than nine countries, in the first seven days alone,” says Jonathan. “We know the audience is there for this site and have been overwhelmed by the industry’s support during its development.”
