Lewis Business Media has announced the appointment of a new editorial team to drive forward its title Agronomist & Arable Farmer (AAF).
After more than six years, Chris Lyddon has left the role of editor of AAF, as well as leaving the role of editor of Farm Business and of the two publications’ websites.
He will focus on freelance writing and consultancy.
Chris will also continue as European correspondent for World Grain magazine, and contributor to Agritrade News as well as Agra Europe and Dairy Markets.
Alistair Driver takes on the role of AAF group editor and will be responsible for developing the strategic direction and content planning of the title.
Alistair will continue to be responsible for Pig World – a publication he has edited since joining Lewis Business Media from Farmers Guardian in August 2016 – and now also oversees the Farm Business digital magazine.
John Swire has been appointed Agronomist & Arable Farmer deputy editor to handle day-to-day management of the title – including commissioning freelance contributors and liaising with agencies and technical experts.
Alistair said: “I am very much looking forward to working with John to produce an analytical and informative magazine for agronomists and arable farmers.”
The first 15 years of John’s working life was on a dairy and arable farm in Shropshire.
He moved into the world of PR in 1990 and has acted for a number of high profile companies in the agricultural sector.
Since 2015 he has been a regular contributor to a number of farming journals including Farm Business, Agronomist & Arable Farmer, Farm Contractor & Large Scale Farmer.
He has always specialised in writing about the agronomy and arable sectors.
