A new Friend of the Guild, Gary Naylor, says he is fortunate to combine his agricultural experience and contacts with a keen interest in photography – and that his family, especially wife Christine, allow so much of his spare time to be spent with a camera and computer!

As managing director of Worth Farms, managing a 1800ha of arable land on Holbeach Marsh in South Lincolnshire, Gary is very much at home in the field, with more than 30 years’ experience in the agricultural industry.

“I started working in agriculture soon after leaving school and started my farming career started with a Licentiateship in Agriculture from Lincolnshire College of Agriculture,” he says. “Since then, my career has taken me to work in Saskatchewan, Canada and to travel throughout the USA and South East Asia when I was awarded a Nuffield Scholarship in 1999 to study precision agriculture.”

Gary has also been an enthusiastic photographer of his work and the agricultural industry, and following encouragement from several publishers, he formed the Gary Naylor Photography agency in 2010 to offer a wide variety of stock images to the agricultural and horticultural industry and its publishers.
