Georgina Haigh has joined the Guild, having been appointed arable reporter on Farmers Guardian and the newly re-launched Arable Farming titles, working alongside arable editor and Guild member, Teresa Rush.

“Having grown up on an arable farm, and attending Moulton College to do a two year subsidiary diploma in agriculture, I knew I had a passion for the sector, but i wasn’t sure on which direction to take,” says Georgina. “I worked for a summer at Bedfordia Farms testing grain in the lab, followed by a short stint working at Hulcote crop store doing the same for Glencore grain.

“I have always had a interest in writing since school but it was the tie between the two – writing and arable – that drew me to the post at Briefing Media,” she adds. “I’ve learnt so much writing for Farmers Guardian and Arable Farming in the past couple of months, and enjoy the variety, getting out and about, and discovering that no days are never the same.”
