Despite being fairly new to the agricultural industry, Guild member Nicola Collenette says she has been made to feel very welcome by everyone she has met so far.

“I’ve found there’s a great culture of knowledge sharing in farming, which has been really helpful to me both professionally and personally,” she says.

Nicola completed a degree course in Politics with Italian at the University of Sussex in the ‘90s and then an NCTJ qualification in Brighton. She was sponsored by the Evening Argus during her journalism training, after which she went on to become news editor, features editor and editor for a number of trade magazines.

“I’ve lived in Italy and Japan but recently relocated to Cambridge where I decided to make the move into PR, taking up the role of senior account manager for integrated agency Ware Anthony Rust in December last year,” says Nicola.

Working closely with her colleagues and fellow Guild members Geoff Dodgson and Peter Crowe, she is involved in several agricultural client accounts, including Velcourt, Merial Animal Health and Dow AgroSciences.

“When I’m not working I enjoy trips to the cinema, walking and bike riding in the countryside; and I’m a keen member of the RSPB,” she adds.
