A new publishing agreement for Service Dealer magazine, which serves the farm and professional groundscare machinery retail industry, has been reached in its 25th year by Chris Biddle, a Member of the Guild, and The Ad Plain (TAP).

TAP, which is run by Duncan Murray-Clarke (pictured right with Chris Biddle) and Emma Craigie, a Friend of the Guild, is taking on all publishing responsibility for Service Dealer, including design, production, advertising administration, accounts and associated activities.

The magazine will be published bi-monthly from January next year when a new website is scheduled to go live. The weekly newsletter covering manufacturer and dealer news will continue and TAP has already designed a new masthead logo for the title.

Chris Biddle, who remains at the helm as editor said: “TAP is a modern and successful independent agency working with a number of high-profile clients particularly in the field of aviation and agriculture.”

The redesigned magazine, which Chris founded in 1988, will have an increased circulation of more than 2000 copies sent free of charge to qualifying sales and service dealers, plus non-qualifying subscribers. Over the coming months, it will provide expanded coverage of the grass, farm, amenity, forestry, off-road vehicle and outdoor power equipment sectors.

Chris added: “It is apt in the 25th anniversary year of Service Dealer that we build on our heritage and ensure that the magazine continues its widely recognised role as The Voice of the Industry for many years to come.”
