Subscription deferrals for those in need

With the current situation causing income and cashflow challenges, the directors of the Guild have agreed to offer deferred subscription payments for those members facing especially difficult financial circumstances.

If you are affected in this way, you can ask confidentially for a deferral by contacting subscriptions manager Peter Hill.

Please include your bank or building society account number and sort code for a refund as these are encrypted in the Guild’s SmartDebit system.

Members who ask for a deferral and have already paid the 2020 subscription of £78 will receive an immediate refund; members whose direct debits are due to be collected from May 16 onwards will be refunded shortly before the sum is collected.

The directors have also agreed to waive the rules requiring members to be no more than six months in arrears with their subscription payment and also the requirement that only members whose subscription is up to date can enter Guild awards.

This way, all members can continue to enjoy the practical and social benefits of Guild membership.

To be fair to all, subscription payments refunded in this way will be collected at a future date once the financial impact of coronavirus on members has eased.
