The Burns Supper organised by Scottish members of the BGAJ will take place in person on Saturday 12 March.

It will be at 7pm at the Ballathie House Hotel, Stanley, Perth which has been the venue for previous Burns suppers.

With continued support from sponsors the cost of the dinner is £45 per head inclusive of a pre-dinner drinks reception, four-course meal, and a drink for the toast.

For those wishing to stay overnight the hotel is offering accommodation at £105 per person on a shared room basis – which includes the dinner – or £130 for single occupancy.

Other drinks, including wine, should be arranged on the night, and paid for individually.

Jim McLaren, former NFU Scotland president and QMS chairman and now chair of NFU Mutual, will give an address to set the tone of the evening, although not an Immortal Memory but will include a toast to Burns.

After January’s event was postponed due to covid, the evening will not be a full-blown Burns Supper, although there will be more than a nod to Burns, with the usual fare and an address to the haggis. The organisers say it will be an evening for everyone to get together informally after two years of limited social gatherings.

To book, call the hotel on 01250 883268 and press 1 for reservations, quoting booking reference BK006096. A 25% non-refundable deposit will be required at the time of booking.

Book and pay for the Burns Supper direct with the hotel, even if not reserving accommodation (no tickets will be issued) and, whether staying or not, please advise names to Eddie Gillanders for the table plan on 01330 811616 or 07772 329159.

Bookings should be made to the hotel by this Friday 11 February 2022.
