Several members of the British Guild of Agricultural Journalists joined colleagues from around the world at the 2025 International Federation of Agricultural Journalists (IFAJ) Congress, held in Nairobi, Kenya, from 15–18 October.

The event brought together agricultural journalists and communicators to explore the theme ‘Unlocking the agricultural potential in the cradle of mankind’, with visits showcasing Kenya’s thriving and diverse agri-food sector.

Guild member and Scotland-based photographer Craig Stephen attended through the Joe Watson Legacy Fund, which provides BGAJ members opportunities to develop their international experiences. His images capture scenes from Karunguru Coffee Estate, Kagawe Tea Factory, Isinya Flowers, and Vertical Lake in Rongai, highlighting Kenya’s mix of traditional practices and modern innovation.

More details on the congress will be published on the Guild website soon, but for now enjoy Craig’s images offering a glimpse into the landscapes, people and production systems of Kenyan agriculture.
