Guild Members are invited to apply for a bursary to attend a summit to discuss innovation in Canadian agriculture.

In collaboration with the International Federation of Agricultural Journalists, the Arrell Food Institute is offering a bursary for an experienced agricultural journalist to participate in the first Arrell Food Summit from 21-23 May 2018.

The institute has a vision to transform global food systems, and elevate Canada’s place within the global food economy by helping Guelph become a world leader in food and agricultural innovation.

The successful applicant will be a journalist with a wide readership, listenership or viewership and a proven interest in agricultural sustainability.

They should also have an ability to articulate how this experience will help advance discussion and understanding about agricultural innovation’s role in feeding the world.

The bursary will cover:

* Airfare to Toronto, Ontario, Canada
* Ground transportation to Guelph from the Toronto airport, and return
* Accommodations and meals in Guelph (21-23 May)

The sponsorship is limited to the portion of the summit in Guelph, held on 22-23 May 2018.

The summit programme is available here. Applications should be submitted by 23 April using the online form here.
