CPM appoints new arable technical journalist

Published on 21st October 2021

CPM is thrilled to announce the appointment of Melanie Jenkins as a staff arable technical journalist, commencing on 18th November.

"Mel's appointment is excellent news for CPM, bringing award-winning writing skills, media experience and a deep enthusiasm for the farming industry," said CPM consultant editor, Charles Abel.

"It’s a further example of Kelsey's investment plans for the title, all geared to maintaining editorial quality and creating a sustainable editorial team, so the very best content can be provided to farmers and advisers, in partnership with the sector's key suppliers."

Melanie Jenkins said: “I’m delighted to be joining CPM. I’ve thoroughly loved writing for the magazine through my previous position at Agri-hub, so when the opportunity arose to join the team, I jumped at it.

“I’ll be forever grateful for my time at Agri-hub, especially to Olivia, and my wonderful colleagues Ruth and Nat, without whom I wouldn’t be where I am now. But the next adventure awaits and I can’t wait for it to begin.”

CPM publisher, Steve Kendall said: “I’m really pleased and excited to welcome Mel to the CPM team. Her enthusiasm and knowledge of the industry, coupled with her journalistic skills and experience, make her an excellent fit for the brand and I’m really looking forward to working with her.”

CPM remains the UK’s best-read arable technical journal, with 11 standard editions scheduled for 2022. The magazine was purchased by Kelsey Publishing in Feb this year, to join the company’s growing agricultural portfolio alongside profi, South East Farmer, Farm Machinery and Vineyard.
