CPM, the UK’s best-read arable technical journal, has welcomed new editor John Swire to the team.
John’s no stranger to the publishing world, having spent the past six years as the editor of an agronomy-themed magazine.
However, his work within agriculture began long before this, spending 15 years managing his family’s dairy farm in north Shropshire, attending university and achieving a masters degree. Following this, he worked in agricultural PR and as a freelance journalist.
John lives in Somerset with his wife Tina and spends his spare time commuting to Stoke-on-Trent (coincidentally where CPM’s deputy editor, Janine Adamson, is based) to watch the city’s football team.
Steve Kendall, managing director of Kelsey Media’s agri division says he’s delighted to welcome John to CPM. “John’s passion and knowledge of the arable farming industry gained over many years and his experience of running a magazine brand alongside his wealth of industry contacts, means he’s the ideal person to shape and lead CPM through this important time in the brand’s development.”
John joins Janine and technical arable journalist Melanie Jenkins to form CPM’s editorial team.
