Are you passionate about red meat from Scotland? Do you have experience working in communications or public affairs?

If you have answered ‘yes’, then Quality Meat Scotland (QMS) has the role for you!

QMS is the Scottish Red Meat Levy body. We work with the Scottish red meat industry to support, protect, promote and develop the people and products that make up the Scottish red meat sector.

We have an exciting role in our Communications & External Affairs department as Director of Communications & External Affairs, who will lead QMS’s work in communicating the benefits of red meat as part of a sustainable Scotland and the work that QMS and the wider Scottish red meat supply chain play in supporting the Scottish economy.

As Director of Communications & External Affairs at QMS, no two working days will be the same. One day you could be working with politicians in Holyrood, the next, working on an engagement strategy for our farmer levy payers. You will be supported by our Communications & External Affairs department, and other members of the wider QMS team.

This role is a permanent and full time, however, we are focused on getting the right candidate, so flexible working patterns could be considered. Our office is based in the outskirts of Edinburgh, however there is also a great deal of flexibility on location.
