Guild members reporting news, information and statistics about world-wide agriculture and food production can obtain regular intelligence reports issued by the world’s largest agribusiness bank thanks to an agreement between the International Federation of Agricultural Journalists and Rabobank.
As members of the IFAJ, British Guild journalists can request this high quality intelligence from the bank’s research department, which provides unique information about food and agriculture trends and market developments worldwide.
“These reports are authoritative and excellent sources of material,” says Joe Watson, the Guild’s IFAJ representative. “Rabobank already distributes them to a small group of agricultural journalists but this arrangement opens up the service to all members.”
Rabobank’s Food & Agribusiness Research and Advisory department comprises a global team of around 80 dedicated subsector experts who continuously accumulate knowledge on the latest market developments, issues and trends. They publish up to 200 reports and documents a year, containing useful information, statistics and analysis for agricultural and horticultural journalists.
Guild members can apply to Renee Schnitzler at Rabobank to join the mailing list: in doing so, they should refer to their membership of the British Guild of Agricultural Journalists and the IFAJ.
