Guild Members are invited to attend a special presentation to explain the legal implications of new data protection rules.

Implemented under the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the new rules impose strict requirements on businesses and organisations who hold personal data on others.

Speaker Karl Wood, of the Ametros Group, will discuss the legal requirements of the rules – and the associated financial penalties – for agricultural journalists, communicators and media companies.

The two-hour event starts at 6.40pm on Thursday, 26 April, at NFU Mutual HQ, Tiddington Road, Stratford on Avon CV37 7BJ.

Held directly after the Guild’s 2018 AGM at the same venue, the presentation will include a GDPR case study by NFU Mutual.

Karl is a member of the Ametros Group comprising lead ISO auditors, law enforcement, IT governance, cyber security and business management consultants.

The group is currently designing, delivering and auditing GDPR compliance frameworks for a range of commercial clients in EU and NON-EU Countries.
