As a director of Adela Booth Associates, new Guild Friend Roger Trewhella is involved in the marketing, PR and administrative services that the agency based near Cheltenham provides to the agricultural industry.
Established in 2000 (Roger joined in 2003), the agency’s main clients include the UK Jerseys breed society and its semen marketing subsidiary, Nordic Semen UK. It also administers the NFU / Dairy Crest Scholarship Fund.
“My first encounters with PR were during a period I spent in the Milk Marketing Board press office,” says Roger. “The contacts I established there were retained during subsequent employment with Oldacre and Dalgety in the feed sector, and when I was general secretary at the British Simmental Cattle Society.”
Today, as chairman of the Jersey & Guernsey Forum, Roger is actively involved in promoting and seeking to improve markets for these speciality milks and their products. He is also secretary to the European Jersey Forum and freelance journalism on cattle industry topics.
