After a year in which farming support has been more crucial than ever, Guild members have once again donated their photographs for the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI) calendar for 2014.
It’s available in two formats for the first time this year – as a traditional wall calendar and as a handy desktop version.
Farming in Focus is an important fund-raising device for the charity, which has provided a lifeline for many farmers and their families after bad weather blighted the industry in spring 2013.
With production costs supported by the NFU Mutual Charitable Trust, all proceeds from sales will go towards providing assistance to farming families in financial difficulty.
“Aid is tailored to the needs of individuals on a confidential basis and can include grants for elderly or disabled beneficiaries,” notes Guild member Nick Bond, RABI’s press officer. “The charity also provides guidance on state benefits and help with claiming entitlements, and offers emergency financial assistance towards domestic bills or towards developing extra skills.”
The calendar showcases the skills of Guild members and provides a stunning snapshot of the farming year in all its glory.
Copies, costing £7.50 (for the wall calendar) and £4 (for the desktop version) plus postage and packing according to the numbers ordered, can be secured using the order form available here.
