HGCA communications executive Eleanor Perkins has become a member of the Guild.
Eleanor joined HGCA from a background combining renewables, community sustainability and international development.
She is now a Communications Executive with HGCA, the cereals and oilseeds division of the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board, working particularly with the regional teams and market intelligence.
Having graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge, with a first class honours in Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic, and an MPhil specialising in English language history, Eleanor returned to her native Warwickshire with a determination to use her communication skills to work for greater environmental sustainability.
Eleanor’s career to date has included a local Agenda 21 organisation, the international development charity Habitat for Humanity and contract work for renewable energy companies. She specialises in PR and communications, and has particular interest in language.
In her spare time Eleanor is a semi-professional musician, volunteers at Warwick hospital radio and is her church’s eco co-ordinator. She enjoys cycling in Warwickshire and further afield, knitting and baking when the weather is less clement for cycling.
