Hundreds of agricultural communicators should be gathering in Denmark this month to take part in the annual IFAJ Congress.

Covid-19 halted that, but organisers have pulled out all the stops to create an online programme for the event which starts today.

Throughout the week a session will be held every day – and you can join in for free.

The event kicks off today (Monday) at 2pm GMT with a session on freedom of the press and will be moderated by the British Guild’s IFAJ representative Jane Craigie.

Jane will be joined by Richmond Frimpong who is the Deputy News Editor and Executive Producer at Promise Broadcasting (Oyerepa 100.7 FM in Kumasi). He is the President of Ghana Agricultural and Rural Development Journalists Association.

Per Henrik Hansen, an award-winning freelance agri-food journalist based in Denmark, will also take part in the session.

The programme for the rest of the week is:

Tuesday: Agricultural Journalism & Communication Post-Covid-19

Wednesday: Cooperation Across Borders

Thursday: IFAJ Delegate Assembly

Friday: A Toast To Denmark
