The National Beef Association is expanding its operations team with the appointment of Guild member Joanne Pugh as assistant director.
Jo joins the association from mid-August, leaving her role on Farmers Guardian as livestock editor; she also had oversight of the paper’s technical content.
“Joanne will be a welcome addition to our team, particularly for her journalist skills and knowledge of the industry,” says NBA chairman Oisin Murnion. “She brings her youth and new ideas into an organisation that has a growing membership from John O’Groats to Lands End, as well as all regions of Northern Ireland. Jo will help the existing NBA team to meet the ever increasing demands of its membership and an increasing workload.”
Joanne’s full time position will involve responsibility for the NBA’s specialist publications, as well as contributing to regional and national activities.
“Following seven very happy years at Farmers Guardian, I’m very excited to be taking up my new role with the NBA and embarking on a new challenge,” says Joanne. “I’ll still be involved in the Guild and looking forward to continue seeing many members and friends.”
Her new contact details will be published in the August eAlert.
