Martin Ward has joined the Guild after taking up post as account manager for rural PR and marketing agency Eve Communications.

Martin’s role will be focused on managing PR activity and strategy for clients, as well as getting involved with the agency’s video, copywriting and social media work.

Based in Warwickshire, Martin was previously Press Officer at the NFU, working to ensure that journalists were kept fully and quickly informed about developments involving the NFU and the agricultural industry.

Prior to this, he spent time working in the higher education sector at the University of Warwick’s marketing and communications team as well as for Midlands-based digital marketing agency Cognition.

Martin took up post on 23 November and is planning ahead for a busy 2021. He hit the ground running putting together press releases and media briefings, as well as identifying opportunities for clients, including webinars and video work.

He said: “I am really looking forward to building on the agricultural knowledge I have gained from my time at the NFU to help clients in the industry put out effective content that tells their story to the media.

“My role at Eve is set to be hugely varied, and I can’t wait to get stuck into video projects and live webinars and help put clients ahead of the curve when it comes to their communications.”

Eve Communications is owned and run by BGAJ director Ben Pike and his wife Katie from Braunston in Northamptonshire.
