Journalist member of the Guild, Chris Lyddon, has been appointed editor of Farm Business, where he succeeds Andrew Watts who is pursuing a freelance career (see Guild eAlert March, 2011).

Chris continues to edit the FarmBusiness.cc website, and also a revamped arable crops magazine, now titled Agronomist & Arable Farmer to reflect a wider readership.

Alan Whibley of Grove House Publishing – which is now part of the Ten Alps Communications group – says of the appointment: “Chris has been writing for us longer than any other journalist, right from the start of the magazine back in 2002. He has written the front pages, international round-ups, news and features, and brings many years of knowledge, expertise and a huge amount of wit to the journal.”

He is joined by ex-Farming News reporter Gail Novelle, who comes with an extensive journalistic background encompassing the construction and farming sectors, among others, says Alan Whibley.
