Freelance journalist and photographer Judith Tooth has joined the Guild.

Judith lives on the Norfolk-Suffolk border where she has been working as a part-time journalist and photographer for several years, writing mostly about farming for Anglia Farmer, but also about nature, food and the arts.

“I’ve managed my work around home-educating my children, and now that the youngest is preparing to go to college, I’m looking to take on more,” she said.

“Farmers have so many great stories to tell, and I really enjoy learning about their new ideas and innovations and sharing them with a wider audience. I particularly like hearing about ways farmers are working together, whether it’s to develop new markets, share costs or join up wildlife habitats.”

Judith grew up in Kent and studied agriculture at Seale-Hayne College in Devon before moving to East Anglia.

“When I’m not working or helping with my son’s studies, I sing, volunteer with an overseas development agency and a local river project, and study French,” Judith said.

“I like to go on pilgrimage each year, and have walked along pilgrim routes in France and Spain as well as nearer home.”

As with all members, Judith’s contact details have been added to the Guild’s online directory.

You can contact Judith by email on judithtooth@phonecoop.coop or by calling 01379 890622.
