Jane Craigie Marketing has appointed Rebecca Rainnie as a new account executive and staff writer.

A farmer’s daughter and SRUC graduate, Rebecca was part of the British Guild of Agricultural Journalists’ John Deere Training Award in 2016.

She said: “Over the last few years I have developed a real passion for agri-communications, and I am very excited to be working with the Jane Craigie Marketing team.

“Jane has always worked with some great names in agriculture, and I look forward to helping communicate their stories in particularly interesting times for the industry.”

Hailing from an upland mixed livestock unit in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, Rebecca started her career in the marketing department of livestock nutrition specialist Harbro before working for Quality Meat Scotland.

She has a real passion for livestock, and takes any spare opportunity to work at home on the farm.

A committed member of the Scottish Association of Young Farmers since the age of 14, she also volunteers for the Royal Northern Countryside Initiative, a charity at the forefront of increasing countryside awareness through education.

She is also keen to help educate the younger generation about agriculture.

JCM managing director Jane Craigie said: “Rebecca brings with her both her practical farming experience and her passion for educating the wider public about farming, both of which, combined with her communication skills, will be a great asset to the team.”

Based in Aberdeenshire, Jane Craigie Marketing is a marketing and communications consultancy specialising in agriculture, food and the rural economy.
