Obituary: John Kenyon

Published on 25th March 2018

John Kenyon, former executive producer of the BBC's Farming network television programme, has died at the age of 83.

Broadcast on a Sunday lunchtime, Farming was the long-running predecessor of Countryfile.

John's farewell will take place at 1pm on Thursday, 5 April, at Oakworth Crematorium, Wide Lane, Oakworth, Keighley, West Yorkshire, BD22 0RJ.

Family and friends will gather afterwards at the Grouse Inn, Harehills Lane, Oldfield, Keighley, West Yorkshire, BD22 0RX.

Guild Member Claire Powell says John's daughter Nicky has little knowledge of his former work colleagues, or how to contact them.

"I have done the best I can to spread the word and am scattering seed in numerous directions, hoping some will fall on fertile ground," she says.

Any queries, please telephone Claire on 01764 684785 or 07761 630614.
