Norman Stuckey, former editor of AGM Service, the magazine published by the farm machinery dealer trade organisation BAGMA, has died at the age of 96.

He passed away last Friday at his home in Hertfordshire after a short illness, reports Guild member Chris Biddle in his Service Dealer newsletter.

Norman, who was a Member of the Guild until 2004, joined the British Agricultural and Garden Machinery Association in 1966 when it was based in Rickmansworth, Herts. He worked alongside advertising sales executive Linda Palmer and they regularly worked as a team doing the rounds of the agricultural shows.

The magazine was published until 1994 when the association ran into financial troubles and the assets and liabilites were taken over by the British Hardware Federation (now BIRA).

Norman and Linda went on to publish their own trade magazine GAME (Garden & Agricultural Machinery Equipment) and were also responsible for producing the Horological Journal, the magazine for the watch and clock trade.
