Guild members are invited to attend a beer and hops tour to the Czech Republic this autumn.

The tour is open to applications from Guild members courtesy of the BGAJ’s affiliation to the European Network of Agricultural Journalists (ENAJ).

The three-day expedition takes place from 4-6 September.

Starting and ending in Prague, those attending will visit a processing plant for hops, breweries and the brewing faculty at the university.

Naturally, you’ll get more than enough occasions to taste some great beers.

Among other highlights, you’ll visit the ancient city and UNESCO world heritage applicant Žatec, otherwise known as ‘hops city’.

Interested? The low-cost tour costs €200 for Guild members and you’ll need to get yourself to and from Prague airport.

Full details are available here. Once you’ve had a look, email Adrian Krebs at a.krebs@bauernzeitung.ch to reserve your place.

It would help if applicants could also email the guild’s ENAJ representative Adrian Bell at adrian.bell@agromavens.com so the guild is aware who has applied.
