Potato Council communications manager Jim Davies has recently become a member of the Guild.

Jim took on a brand new role in the knowledge transfer team in April 2013 when Potato Council brought its technical trade communications in-house. He was already working for AHDB at Stoneleigh Park prior to this as a senior analyst in its market intelligence division.

Before joining AHDB, Jim was a senior account manager at the Oxfordshire-based corporate and marketing communications consultancy, Mistral.

Jim has a broad range of practical food production and agricultural experience.  After studying at Seale-Hayne he gained eight years food and supply chain experience at McCain Foods , where he was involved with seed and ware field quality, buying and contract planning, French fry production and processing, B2B customer presentations and B2C marketing communications strategies educating consumers.

Living in the sticks near Witney with his wife and young son, Jim enjoys organising social events, following technology, travelling, keeping fit, competitive sport and the outdoor life in his spare time.
