The search is on for a Marketing Coordinator and a Publications and Content Editor.

Our founding objectives of supporting UK agriculture are still at the heart of what we do today, 60 years on.

Marketing Coordinator – closing date 27 June 2021

We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Coordinator to join our team.  The role will be a full-time permanent position working 37.5 hour per week.

As we find ourselves in this unprecedented time with the challenges and concerns around the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic it is likely that you will initially join the team remotely and work from home with the view to incorporating meetings at our head office in South Molton, Devon when restrictions allow.

We therefore welcome applications from those living throughout the UK.

In this role you will:

  • Support colleagues across the business taking detailed marketing briefs.
  • Coordinate the delivery of marketing campaigns through a variety of channels.
  • Manage the internal communications for marketing plans, campaign execution and post campaign analysis.
  • Plan, coordinate, and take responsibility for the delivery of printed materials such as campaign leaflets, in-store literature, and point of sale.

This is a progressive role and would suit someone passionate and ambitious who is looking for a development opportunity. The role requires an enthusiastic team player with excellent communication and project management skills.

A sound knowledge of how to develop marketing campaigns, problem solving and delivering to deadlines. You will need the confidence to work with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.

With COVID-19 in mind, we have adapted our interview process accordingly and it may be that your initial interview will be virtual, taking place via Microsoft Teams.

Publications and Content Editor – closing date 4 July 2021

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced agricultural writer to join our business as Publications and Content Editor.

You will take editorial responsibility for our various newsletters and more widely assist with the strategic use of content across our print and digital channels. This is a rare opportunity to use your editorial and writing skills with one of the UK’s leading agricultural supply and rural retailing businesses.

Our various newsletters are sent to our membership base comprising over 9,000 Farmer Shareholders and over 50,000 Country Members.

They are highly respected within the agricultural industry, carrying a wealth of technical agricultural content along with broader content relevant to the countryside and rural communities. The newsletters also highlight seasonal campaigns and promotions and play an important commercial role in driving both ‘direct to farm’ and retail product sales.

Our portfolio of newsletters includes the Mole Valley Farmers Newsletter which has been in circulation since the 1960s, the Mole Country Stores Newsletter and the new Country and Farm newsletter.

You will work with contributors across our business and external suppliers, commissioning and editing articles, as well as writing articles. You will have a passion for agriculture and the rural community, with a strong editing and writing background.

You will have excellent communication skills, liaising with contributors and content providers to develop engaging and informative content. You will lead a busy and committed Publications team and ensure close working relationships and alignment with the wider marketing and communications team within Mole Valley Farmers.

This is a busy, fast-paced role, representing an exciting opportunity to lead and shape our newsletters and content within a growing, dynamic business.
