Join us for a day filled with creativity and fun at our photography workshop!

Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned pro, this event is perfect for anyone looking to improve their skills behind the lens.

The BGAJ is running a photography workshop on 18 July 2024 from 10am until 3pm.

The event is kindly being hosted by ABP at its farm near Telford and they are providing lunch for attendees.

The venue will give members the chance to get out on the farm and receive practical tuition using their own cameras.

The course will cater for a range of abilities from beginner to more advanced camera users and members will be given the chance to receive practical one-on-one advice during an afternoon practical session where they can troubleshoot any problems they may have.

The course will cover:

  • Basic principles of photography (classroom based)
  • Taking your camera off automatic settings (practical based session)
  • The practical session will include advice on lighting when taking pictures in dark settings and tips on taking portraits.

It is being run by Guild member and freelance photographer Ruth Downing who has 20 years’ experience as an agricultural photographer.

Tickets for the training course are just £65 for BGAJ members. Non-members are welcome to sign up for a fee of £85.

Please bring your camera and practical footwear that can be disinfected.
