Guild / NOAH Award – final call for entries
With Christmas and New Year holidays fast approaching, members are reminded to sift through their articles and broadcasts of the past 12 months to find a suitable entry for the Guild’s animal health and welfare journalism award, sponsored by NOAH. The final deadline is Saturday, December 31. An entry form can be downloaded here.

Vacant positions are mentioned in Guild eAlerts as a service to members but a recruitment advertising service is also available to organisations that wish to put full details about a post in front of the Guild's 450 members involved in journalism and commercial communications. A Friend of the Guild, Laura Dickinson, has moved from the ARC-Addington Fund to join tractor and farm machinery dealerships Rea Valley Tractors and AIS as marketing and promotions manager. The dealers cover Shropshire, mid-Wales and the West Midlands representing manufacturers such as John Deere, JCB and Caterpillar. Farm machinery specialist James Lane is back freelancing after a spell in sales and marketing, offering journalism and commercial PR services. Contact details are unchanged in the Year Book, apart from his email address.
Clive Rainbird retires from his role at Bayer CropScience at the end of December but plans to offer agricultural PR and marketing communications services on a freelance basis as Rainbird Communications. He has a new mobile number 07971 119950 and a new email address.
