A new full service marketing and communications agency has opened in Cambourne, Cambridgeshire, managed by Guild member Rebecca Dawson.

The agency, Hornbeam, will provide specialist marketing services to businesses operating in the agriculture, food and outdoor sectors.

Rebecca, previously account director of the agriculture team at Ware Anthony Rust (WAR) heads the agency as managing director.

She is joined by client relationship manager Emily Hutson, and will be supported by Guild member and Honorary Chaplain Geoff Dodgson as an external consultant.

Geoff was previously senior consultant of the agricultural team at WAR.

Rebecca has nearly 15 years of marketing and communications experience in the agricultural and rural industries, both in-house and agency-side.

She has worked with national and global brands in the agrochemical, veterinary, machinery, seed, and events sectors, including Agrii, BASIS, Dow AgroSciences, Haymarket Media Group, Merial Animal Health, New Holland Agriculture, Sulky Burel, and Tozer Seeds.

“It’s an exciting time to launch a specialist agency,” says Rebecca.

“Agriculture is the base for the whole food and outdoor sector, which is recognised as the UK’s largest single industry.

“There are great opportunities here for brands.

“People are increasingly seeking a deeper connection to the great outdoors, for greater health, well-being and recreation, and want a better understanding of where their food is produced.

“Hornbeam team members are deeply rooted in the sectors that we serve, with decades of combined experience and genuine personal interest in farming and the great outdoors.”

Hornbeam is the latest agency member of the Ferrier Pearce Creative Group (FPCG), which celebrated 25 years in 2016.

As a member of FPCG, Hornbeam will offer a full range of marketing and communications services, including public relations, advertising, print, digital, and social media.

FPCG executive chairman Nigel Ferrier says of Hornbeam: “We are delighted to have acquired a new specialist agency for the Ferrier Pearce Creative Group.

Hornbeam’s focus on agriculture, food and the outdoor sector fills a gap in our portfolio and we look forward to Rebecca and her team delivering exceptional marketing communications.”
