Agri-comms agency celebrates first decade

Published on 23rd January 2016

Pinstone Communications - 10th Anniversary

Pinstone Communications is looking forward to the next 10 years after celebrating its first decade in business.

While agriculture is facing some tough times, agri-business firms with foresight are investing in strategically founded communication campaigns to give them a competitive edge, says Pinstone Communications managing director and Guild deputy chairman Catherine Linch.

“I like to think of PR as standing for ‘positive reputation’ and that’s something that campaigns with a sound strategy behind them can achieve," she explains.

“Know the target audience, be clear on what a campaign is trying to achieve and select a range of routes to get a message out there.”

Catherine identifies measurement and evaluation as one of the biggest channels for the PR and marketing sector.

“It’s fair enough that companies want to know their return on investment from a service, particularly in the current marketplace, and this is an area of key focus for us.

“It’s more grounds to ensure that every output – whether it’s a news release, thought-leadership column, e-alert, an app or a speaker opportunity – is done with purpose and direction.

“It’s vital to be clear about the desired outcome from the start.”

New client wins, strong client retention and a team of existing and budding Guild Members all contribute to Pinstone's success, says Catherine.

High calibre people at every level of the business are a key reason why client retention is so high and why new client opportunities are continually emerging, she adds.

“PR is a fast-paced and dynamic environment, but we’ve got high standards.

“I’m incredibly proud of our team of professionals and their unrelenting enthusiasm and passion for what they do – Pinstone’s success is a credit to our people.

“I’m incredibly excited about the 10 years and beyond that are ahead of us as we continue to grow.”
