Aled Davies has become a Friend of the Guild.

A chartered marketer, he is currently the deputy managing director of Animax Ltd, which manufactures a range of animal health products from its base near Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk.

Aled said: “My career highlights include managing the process of growing demand for the Tracesure range of trace element boluses from niche to mainstream in the UK and Ireland. Another highlight was the research, planning and implementation of an international marketing strategy that resulted in distribution for our products in several new countries, including New Zealand.”

Formerly a keen rugby player, Aled now coaches Llandeilo under 13s rugby team and is also a coach for the local football team at the same age group.

And if that is not enough to keep him busy, he is one of the 2015 crop of Nuffield farming scholars – his topic is ‘alternatives to antibiotics in agriculture’.

Aled also has a blog and can be followed on Twitter @aledanimax.
