Although new Guild member Lauren Chambers does not come from a farming family, being raised in the heart of the Cheshire countryside has given her a close affinity with agriculture.

But it was only after a series of PR and communications roles in a range of industries, including manufacturing, utilities and public sector, that she discovered a passion for food and farming during two years at the Dairy Farmers of Britain co-operative.

“So I was over the moon when the opportunity came to join Reverberate PR, the agency owned by fellow Guild member Philip Gibson,” she says. “It’s a specialist food and agriculture agency and we pride ourselves in offering our clients practical and friendly PR advice that can be trusted to deliver results.

“My two years at Dairy Farmers of Britain gave me a sound introduction to the dairy sector,” Lauren adds. “I’ve been able to consolidate and expand this knowledge at Reverberate across other livestock sectors and arable.”

Lauren has a marketing degree from Aston University and a post-graduate diploma from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations. She manages various client accounts at Reverberate PR.

“No two days are ever the same; it’s busy, but also fun and I feel lucky to love my job,” she says. “One day I can be at a board meeting discussing brand strategy, and the next in wellies getting to grips with a farm case study.”

When not working, Lauren says she loves to cook and experiment with new recipes, and is a keen netball player for a local league team as well as being a mentor to teenagers on the Girls Out Loud Big Sister programme.

“I’m delighted to have been accepted into the Guild and look forward to networking with like-minded people, as well as getting involved with what the Guild has to offer,” says Lauren.
