Guild Fellow, Peter Bullen, who ran in six London Marathons to raise over £12,000 for the Guild’s Charitable Trust in its early years, has just completed another marathon – this time an intellectual one.

After six years of study at the Open University, he has been awarded a BA with Honours in Literature.

When Guild chairman, Peter instigated the setting up of the Charitable Trust to mark the Guild’s Golden Jubilee in 1993. Over the past 20 years, the Trust has not only helped many Guild members through difficult times but has prudently built up its asset base to more than £100,000.

Although no longer tackling full marathons, Peter is still running regularly at the age of 75, and competing in half marathons and 10-mile road races!
