About us

The British Guild of Agricultural Journalists represents editors and journalists, broadcasters, photographers and PR and marketing specialists working in British agriculture, commercial horticulture and other rural industries.

Our members work freelance and full-time for newspapers, specialist publications, consumer magazines, online media, in radio and on television, for agencies, commercial businesses and other organisations in the rural sector.

Promoting the highest standards in agricultural communications, the Guild supports members by providing training and professional development, as well providing opportunities to network and build relationships across the farming industry through meetings, events and social activities.

Managed by an elected council, the Guild also works to maintain contact with similar organisations overseas through its membership of the International Federation of Agricultural Journalists and the European Network of Agricultural Journalists.
