Guild members are invited to apply for a place on a low-budget press trip to France which will take place this autumn.

The four-day tour – which will include farm visits and Champagne tasting – is being organised by the Association Française des Journalistes Agricoles.

It takes place from from 9-12 October 2019.

The French Guild describes the tour as the perfect opportunity to see some gems of French agriculture – including viticulture, field crops and dairy farming.

A provisional itinerary is available here (pdf).

Places on this tour – which are strictly limited – are being coordinated in conjunction with the European Network of Agricultural Journalists (ENAJ).

The cost is €200 per person for a twin room, with a €200 supplement for a single room. This package includes bus journeys, accommodation, meals, accompaniment and translation.

Each participant must arrange and pay for their travel to Paris.

BGAJ members who wish to apply for a place should email British ENAJ representative Adrian Bell, outlining their reasons for attendance and any coverage they expect to gain from the visit.

Applications for registration must be sent to Adrian before 24 June.
