Role: Marketing executive

Hours: 2.5 days a week

Company: CXCS

Location: Herefordshire

Salary: Competitive DOE

Deadline: 31 December 2020

Are you a marketing professional with an interest in farming and an appetite for your next challenge?

If so, the award-winning, Herefordshire-based company, CXCS, could have just the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.

CXCS is a leading company in the agricultural services industry, with a team of 20-plus people, helping farmers nationwide with paperwork and legislation compliance.

We are a high-performing, friendly team where a premium is put on staff development, advancement and wellbeing.

Based in the beautiful Herefordshire countryside, we were named one of the ‘Employers of the Year’ in British Dairying’s 2020 Cream Awards.

We’re looking for someone to shape and deliver our marketing strategy online, in-print and in-person.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a minimum of three years’ experience in a relevant role, an understanding of what makes our clients tick, and a desire to take on more responsibility. Our ideal candidate is also someone with an understanding of all aspects of marketing, who will deliver a wide range of assistance to the company in this area.

It’s a varied job involving everything from managing our digital presence and helping organise our attendance at events to executing marketing campaigns and overseeing client newsletters.

The successful candidate will be able to:

  • create and maintain a strong ‘brand image’
  • be confident and creative; not afraid to take the lead with marketing ideas and projects
  • have a good understanding of social media advertisements (full advertising campaigns)
  • understand A/B split testing of advertisements online
  • understand and deliver good Search Engine Optimisation
  • analyse data and spot trends to benefit our online presence and quality of marketing material (data analytics)
  • be familiar with / willing to learn to use Adobe products, such as Photoshop.

This opening would suit someone with a mature, commercial outlook, strong written and verbal communication skills, an analytical mind and an ability to make data-driven decisions.

So, if you’re skilled at marketing and have an empathy with our farming clients (you’ll probably know what BPS stands for, as well as being familiar with GDPR), this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Reporting to CXCS’ Managing Director Karen Powell, the role is 2.5 days a week and includes long-term scope for some home-working.

We offer a competitive salary, dependent on experience, plus a range of benefits.
